wanted to know what you all think this would look like. i've been kicking around the idea of doing the the entire cap, deck, and inside of my boat with durabak then painting with interlux brightside as rudeattitude( from classic mako)did on his deck for ease of cleanning. the upside that i'm seeing with doing this is that i will never have worry about the wife or anyone else dropping the anchor ,or raking a pole accross the cap, and scratching it. i'm not sure if it will look tacky, but i've seen the aluminum boats with it and doesn't look to bad. just seems that being a fishing boat and not a show boat this take away worries. rudeattitude contacted durabak to check on the compatabilty with the paint and durabak and has not had any problems. thanks for the feedback

Why paint over it?  Durabak comes in lots of colors, and you can use the ones offered to mix a custom tink if you want.  The Durabak web site has several pictures of cars and trucks "painted" with Durabak.  If you like the texture and finish, go for it!
