Whats a coffin box worth?
« on: July 31, 2015, 02:01:51 PM »
My wife asked me if I could come up with some better seating options for the front of my boat.  She is having a hard time holding on to our 15 month old while under way.  With the coffin box you can either sit with your back against the console and your legs extended out or sit on the side of it with no back rest.  Neither one works well when trying hold a squirming child in your lap.  I am thinking getting rid of the coffin box and putting in a smaller cooler with cushion in front of the console.
I know these coffin boxes rarely pop up for sale so I'm not sure what they are actually worth?

Thanks, Sean

I would keep it for when you need it or when you sell the boat.

You guys are right.  I am going to hold on to it so I can reinstall it when I decide to sell the boat.

Definitely go with some marine bean bags. Some of the best naps I've ever had in my life were while nestled in to my ocean tamer while under way :thumleft:

Takes all the shock out of the ride. We have a rule though during tourneys...can't be in the bag unless you have a rod or tackle in hand
