what motors came mounted on Aquasports?

I have a 1986 boat and the motor is also an 86, 200hp Johnson....anyway to tell if its the original?

My 84 222 CCP came with an 84 185hp Jonnyrude. I believe it was the original motor

My 91 came (and still runs) a 91 Yamaha 200hp. I believe it to be the original motor also. Aqua collateral from that era (92 catalog) that we have shows Aquasport powered by Yamaha outboards. The 86 catalog shows the 222 Sandpiper powered by a Mariner outboard but the catalog also shows models powered by Johnson and Yamaha so I'd guess it was up to what the Dealer and customer finally chose.

I'd guess it's the one that came with the boat. Look around the binnacle control and instruments and see if you noticed any repaired (or not) holes that would indicate a change.
