Many of you know me as the Co-Founder of ClassicAqausport.com. Unfortunately, some of you do not, as I have not been around much over the past few years. I have been busy practicing law and trying to make enough to have something left over to keep this great site up and running. Site maintenance and upkeep has admittedly been less than stellar and we have not been able to afford all of the bells and whistles that are needed to make ClassicAquasport.com the best owner / hobbyist web site out there. I'm hoping that's about to change.
Many of you know that I am heavily involved in representing business owners under the new
BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Settlement Program. As part of my commitment to improving ClassicAquasport.com, I pledge to set aside 10% of my earnings associated with this BP project (up to $100,000). These funds will be allocated to server upgrades, engaging a new designer to update the look and feel of the site which has not changed since inception in 2005, creating and stocking the online store where all can purchase ClassicAquasport gear
at cost, and maintaining a free and advertising free site in perpetuity.
If we are successful enough in this endevour, I will also hire a full time employee whose sole job will be to act as the admin and editor of the site, which surely must be welcome news to Rick and the other mods!
If you own a company
anywhere in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama - all the way up to the northern state lines - you are
automatically included in this program, whether you know it or not. Same is true with
any type of business in the Florida Panhandle, Florida Keys, or any Florida county that touches the Gulf of Mexico. If you do nothing by April 22, 2014 (date subject to change), you will waive all rights, forever, in perpetuity. Because on that date, BP will be extracting value from you in the form of an indemnification. The fact is, they are taking something from you as of April 22, 2014. In exchange, they have created this funding program to pay you for that indemnification. Why would you want BP to get something (your indemnification) for nothing?
Every business in the included geographic areas described above should undergo a free evaluation.
