sold my 1981 and bought this...
« on: August 26, 2014, 09:18:45 AM »
Well... I sold my recently refurbished 1981 222... this one http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery/member.php?uid=13039&username=fishgutts

It was a sweet boat but I had more into it than I wanted to... and I was able to make money on it!  <!-- s:thumleft: -->:thumleft:<!-- s:thumleft: -->

Pulled the trigger on this one yesterday...

This boat was recently discussed in this thread... http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12050.0

Guy came down to $8k... which I felt was a good deal.  She is exactly what I wanted... a nearly original 222 in great shape.  Floor is solid, hull is perfect... engine looks clean and runs good.  Looking forward to fixing her up.

If anyone wants the front rail... I am taking it off today.  Let me know.

Glad it worked out FG.
You did indeed have a lot of work in the ol' 81.

Good luck with the 87.

If you can still read the CG capacity plate, please post it here.

Thanks and good luck.  :thumright:

hey that was gonna be my boat! just kidding... good luck on the purchase, it was a nice boat and i would have paid what you did but the seller just wasn't there yet. he thought $9k was an insult at the time.... amazing how time on market changes perspective.

enjoy the boat and make sure you check out that stringer, should just be a small fix.

I picked up a 26 Shamrock at an auction so im off the market for now but still want a 222 osprey in the near future.
