Yeah Honda has been working on a pocket jet for some time.  They were playing around developing a piston engine for general aviation propeller planes.. But I think that didn't work out.

The r&d and paint facility is in Greensboro, nc.  They delayed the project in 2008 when the economy fell apart.  They began bringing the facility online for production in January.  Impressive place.

My best friend from growing up lives in Greensboro (or just outside) and one of his former co-workers jumped ship to go (back?) to Honda Jet.  Buddy told me this and then had to explain that Honda made jets, as I was unaware.
