I need a bigger boat
« on: July 04, 2014, 11:43:41 AM »
Headed out with my family yesterday to the island for a few days
Six of us in total.....thinking maybe I might have exceeded the old girls weight capacity

The boat handled the 2 to 3' chop and rode like a Caddy

"Good gawd" you'd think we where staying for a month....

And I told everyone to pack "light"

Ditch half the clothes, replace with an equal volume of beer...much better...

Just got back from 4 days out in the islands
We got a little fishing in...got about 6 hours of fishing in 4 days, catching was so..so

I couldn't talk my family in to going fishing on Friday the 5th so my nephew and my brother Brad jumped on board .
My brother Brad was having some issues with the Volvo I/O in his Seasport and his son really wanted to catch a fish

My nephew Brady

A hour or so later a father son  "double header"

Only  fish we got in 4 days....... but I will never forget that "smile" on my nephews face  :D

Add one more 150 QT cooler, a 14 man tent, 10 x 10 POP Up canopy, two 11 FT. Paddle Boards and a 13 ft Kayak.  We had to tow the kids on the Kayak to get to the island, I had to walk on the Gunwale Cap around the boat to get the anchor... And of course we brought 1/2 of it back untouched.  When she packs for a few days on the island, its over-kill to the X-Factor.

Hopefully you got a whole bunch of young bucks packing that chit in and out of your boat

I got to admit we ain't roughing it as in a tent
We be staying in a condo with cable tv, pool, fire pit, ect, ect , the units even have a washer/dryer

Barb has it figured out as far as how to pack light.....32 years of being stuck with me may have something to do with that.

Now I just need to work  on the kids
