Storage where I will be putting a hatch. In front of the console before the casting deck, didnt get a chance to take a pic when i finished glassing it. but there is a pics of the first coat of gel in there.

bilge area with a layer of 1708 to smooth it out. will get gelled tomorrow.

and a test to see how the leaning post and console look inside. may need to cut the leaning post shorter. it looks pretty tall in there

Looks great.
Where does the leaning post come to on your body? Do you have to climb a bit to sit on it?

It is all about scale... If your a six foot guy with long legs and put in a leaning post that will fit you it will likely "look to tall", but for a functional leaning post, there is nothing that you can really do about it except lengthen out the boat...

Lol this is true. I'm 6'6! The leaning post is 36 inches tall. For me it's perfect. It's a very small climb to sit . I know it's more functional for me how it is. But idk if I like how it looks. I will wait til the boat is done to make that decision

You can raise the console  :alien:  - kind of a Frankenstein effort like I went through with mine to get it the height that fits you well.

lol.. too much work.. im just going to deal with it. the console i have in there is taller then the original, but 7 inches thinner. I wanted more walk around room. 7 inches isnt much but on a 17 it helps

That console does make that deck look bigger.
