There Goes the Neighborhood
« on: April 16, 2014, 08:31:17 PM »
So I'm driving up the street to my crib and what do I see after a long day at the salt mines but this........

Spotted the Yammy but got closer and read the Bimini cover.

Still, I'm not sure I wouldn't park one right next to my Lamborghini.............................................................................if I had one (Lambo that is)

They truly are nice lookin' boats. :thumright:

Good lookin'. Reminds me of a late 80's Hydrasport 1800 with an updated Euro-transom.

Jesse will give us some clues :thumright:

KW makes a damn fine boat, but that sure ain't Jessie's...no Zuke on the back.

I see quite a few KWs in my neck of the woods, but then I see quite a few Aquasports as well.  Seeing as Aquasports haven't been built for 9 years now, that's saying something! :thumleft:

Hey that boat looks familiar...  :pl:

Key West actually copied a copy of a late 80's Hydra Sports 1750 (which later became the 1800), and stretched it out a foot, and the 1900 was born in 1989-

This hull proved to be a little too wet and rough, so they later came out with the 186 (18'10") you have pictured Bob.  It had a more aggressive deadrise and a new interior layout to accomodate jump seats (missing on the one pictured) and added the infamous Euro Transom.  The 186 wasn't a redesigned 1900 though, it was actually a shortened KW 2020 hull with an all new cap.  The 186 eventually phased out the 1900, but both models were being built for a period of time.  There aren't many orders for the 186CC anymore, they're mostly just building the 189FS since almost everyone wants the family friendly version now.

My 186 Sportsman-

The 189FS, with rear bench seat and a porta potti-

As pretty as this boat is, it doesn't quite suit my needs like I thought it would.  I'll probably sell it this year, and pull the trigger on a 210BR

Yep, they're selling them as fast as they can build them.  I'm thinking a 210BR would look good in some light blue gel with a white Zuke 175.

That's a nice thought John, but it's hard to walk away from bragging rights like these-

Rattle-can that Yammie and we're good to go!
