Engine bracket for 79 222
« on: January 05, 2014, 09:57:02 AM »
I am in the process of planning a rebuild of 79 222 will be inclosing the transom. I am considering an Armstrong bracket for the 150 Yamaha, I haven't seen one done that way, most seem to have Porta bracket. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Wish I had gone that route when I poured my transom.  Safety of the full height transom would be great.  Everything I've read says the positive flotation brackets are the way to go in order to offset the distance/weight issue.  If you can afford it, I would go with the full width bracket to have a nice platform back there.
