^^^^^^^^^^^

Kevin - That SUX!   There is NEVER a satisfactory reason for a dealer/professional to destroy an expensive electrical part like that.  My old man still lives in CT and needs OMC repair from time to time.  Can you PM me the name of that shop/dealer so I make sure he doesn't go there?

Thanks.  The harness is not like my old engine at all.   But your link looks like the right one and the price is great compared to the BRP parts site.  That will be very helpful.  I finally found that the rigging parts are considered 'acessories' and they are not on the engine parts fiche pages.

I expect I need:

harness (need to determine length for a 200ccp)
key and switch plate
tach with warning lights
speedo (to match)
trim gauge
fuel gauge
Oil tank and hoses

I believe my existing throttle and shift cables will work properly.

Can anyone suggest anything I'm missing?

Voltmeter and water pressure...

Kevin, did you have an older OMC with the big red plug on the engine end of the harness?

Yes - Big red plug.  Engine was 1984 with 86 powerhead.

Water pressure?   What will that connect to?

So the complete list would be:

harness   -  I ordered a 20ft harness  p/n 0176341
key and switch plate  -  still hoping the seller will give this up
tach with warning lights  -  I'm looking at Faria but would like suggestions - especially if someone sells a set for these engines
speedo (to match)
trim gauge
fuel gauge
water pressure
volt gauge
Oil tank and hoses - also hoping the seller will provide this

Kevin, you're best bet on the gauges is MCL.  Pete, Marc, correct me if I'm wrong, but they should have a ton of gauges, I'm sure they will have a complete matching set.  I also recommend Faria.

For WP, on the bottom starboard cylinder head, there should be a port with a plug in it.  Remove that plug and replace with a 1/4" barbed fitting.  Then just run 1/4 ID hose fwd from the fitting to the WP gauge...

They have a whole Isle with nothing but panels and gauges complete, ready to go.
