In the spirit of thanking our veterans I decided to share a photo that I saw for the first time today.  It's of my Uncle Ray (second for the right next to the guy shaking hands) on Saipan receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for a B-29 bombing raid against Japan.  He's only 22 in this photo.  Imagine that being only 22 years old flying the most advanced bomber in the world and dropping bombs on who knows how many people while getting shot at.  Then having to nurse a crippled plane over 1000 miles back to base over open ocean.

Thank you, Veterans, for all you have done and sacrificed!

Great pic, wingtime!  Allot of responsibility was put on those young men, and they handled it well!
