Navy Point Boat Ramp claims another truck
« on: August 30, 2013, 10:01:39 AM »
So, lets all eat a big bowl of stupid for lunch and then go kayaking.  Here is the most fuggered up hillbilly, "You Might be a redneck" boat trailer.  A utility trailer with ropes rigged to carry the kayak, ok, good idea.  But when you get to the boat ramp, why don't you just take the kayak off the trailer and toss it in the water?  Do you really feel the need to back the whole rig into the water.  Didn't see the actual dunking, neighbor called me and the truck was already completely under, except for the very top of the roof... Drag the trailer out and wait for bubba withe truck and rope, while the FWC, FIRE RESCUE, AND EPA get there... Wow!
Yep... That's the roof of the truck behind him...

Our dock is in the back bay here in Newport Beach.
We keep the boat at the dock for the summer, it is close to the public launch ramp.
Like Ron White? says, "you cant fix stupid".

I hate to sound nasty but, sometimes on the weekends we go back by the launch ramp and just watch, we laugh our a$$ off.

Same ramp JD... It happens every few years, Yeah, watched some kids years ago, being bad a$$, thought the truck was in drive, and went to burn out on the ramp to pull the boat out, but.... The truck was in reverse, it hit the water so hard the truck floated 20 feet past the ramp drop off before it sunk in the same spot as this one... Laughing my a$$ off... I watched that one..

I guess they did, I wasn't there for the dunking, but it was only one kayak!  Why would you back down into the water? Just stupid I guess
