Johnson Cartridge Bilge Pump - Sizes Interchangeable?

My bilge pump quit today.  It is a Johnson pump with the replaceable cartridge.  I think it was only a 500 gph model.  The bases for the 500, 750, and 1000 gph pumps all have a 3/4" discharge.  Does anyone know if the bases are identical, so that I can use a 1000 gph cartridge in my existing base?

Searched...can't find a Johnson website. Cabelas sells the 500 and 750, they are interchangeable on the same base.

If the 1000 fits the same base as the 750....you're good to go.

Look at page #7 of the cartridge pdf.
It appears (maybe) that the bases/cartridges are the same dims (500-1000).

I like these pumps.  They are very easy to replace, which to me is important for my 205, which is a real pita to access the bilge.  It's been at least 4 or 5 years since I last replaced one.  I plan on putting a pair in the 22-2, but not sure what size yet (1250 gph maybe?).

Was the link correct for your type pump?

It did show a 1250 gph.

Yes, the link was correct.  I think I can put the 1000 cartridge in the same base, but I sent an email to the company just to make sure (the manual infers that you can interchange cartridges, but doesn't identify which cartridges fit in which bases, at least not that I saw).  The 1250 has a larger hose connection, so I don't think it would fit in may base, but may be good in the 22-2.

Yes it does.  Seems to work pretty well, but a few times over the last 6 months or so the pump would keep running after all the water was pumped out.  I would flip the manual switch on and off and then it would stop.  I think this contributed to my pump failure.
