I know what the problem is there Pete.  The 10GA feed that goes to the top breaker (10A), then daisy-chains to the other 2 breakers?  That 10GA is terminated to the common on your batt switch.  Move it over to batt 1 or batt 2.  Those 3 breakers should be constant hot (you can see brown w/red stripe on both the breakers to the right in the pic).  But that appears to be a breaker box for an Explorer (fore and aft bilge pumps).  On Ospreys, one of the float breakers was for the tabs (switched hot).  Tabs didn't get their power from the main 40A...

Well,guess what Bob,you called it...

back of switch as it came from factory...

and after wire switch..

got power to bilge float and stereo memory with power off! Next project is to run stereo memory wire up to e box.
While we are on the subject, what would  be a good blues seas replacement for that perko battery switch.
And great call Bob,thanks again! :salut:

I just installed one on my 225 explorer. There is plenty of room on the transom wall above the batteries, the problem is having access to that area to drive screws into the transom  wall as it is partially behind the livewell. What I did is take the main fuse panel, the battery switch, and the ground bus bar off and then  mounted them to a section of starboard along with the charger. I then hung the starboard with all the components on the inside of the transom wall, sliding the charger partially behind the live well. I then drove screws into the starboard and into the inside of the transom wall to where I had enough clearance for my power screwdriver had access too. I can take photo when I get out to the Marina later this week.

Another option that I didn’t see until after I installed mine, is to the right of the batteries on the ledge behind the oil tank. There is a ton of room there.

thanks, i'd love to see a pic.

fits like a glove!

if yours is set up like wings, move the breaker box over the buss bar, mount it on the left :salut:

more room to work if you take off the hatch assembly

thanks, nice install, yes my set up is exactly the same as Wings...Question for your charger, my Guest charger came with a connect charge inlet sleeve(charger plug snaps into sleeve for a permanent AC mount) which requires a 1 7/8" hole saw.  do you have one of these ? if so where did you mount it. thanks, Mike

Ha!  yours is flipped 180 degrees.  I was looking at mine on Sunday and the remaining label says "F Bilge"    Wow! I guess I mush have a bunch more accessories or something since it appears I have way more grounds on the ground bar.

Hey Mike,
If you look at the lower pic,on the left, just above the red tackle box insert, you can see the top of the black outlet cap for the charger. So I mounted it on the left side of the hatch.

Pete, that is where I was hoping to put mine......is it sturdy ?  my sleave almost looks as if the charger plug can separate from the back easily.  Mike

The one for the pro mariner is not a solid mount for the plug,it just holds the plug and you can pull it out the cord the plug in and then feed it back in and close the flap on the plug cover.

This is the plug cover http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... UkLyIy9KSM
