Where to stay is only limited by your budget and what you are looking for. There are a few resort type places to stay such as the SandPearl (very nice), Shepard's, Clearwater Beach Hilton etc. Of course there are few smaller places that are nice. For seafood Frenchy's has several restaurants/bars that have slightly different menus including the small Original cafe, Saltwater cafe, Rockaway. (I prefer the Saltwater Cafe). Cooter's is pretty good place to go too. Shepard's has a Buffet that is supposed to be pretty good. Island Way grill is a little more upscale. While your there you should visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and see Winter the dolphin.
