Fishing with Osprey Charters' Capt Rick LeFiles
« on: January 04, 2013, 01:38:18 PM »
I was on a working vacation in Crystal River, Florida, last week and was booked by our host resort (The Plantation Inn in Crystal River) with a Capt Rick LeFiles out of nearby Yankeetown -- who showed up in his rebuilt 22-2 and calls his operation Osprey Charters! Turns out he's a card-carrying member of Classic Aquasports.com who relied heavily on members' input for his rebuild -- and we talked Aquasports (I just bought a '99 200 Osprey) for four hours straight. Great guy and excellent guide. The Plantation Inn was good too; you can tie-up your boat right outside a ground floor room and catch trout and snook under the lights on the point all night long...

Capt Rick did a GREAT job of rebuilding and customizing his Osprey.  He is also a bonafide Master Rebuilder (if he would just come and collect it).  If you see him again let him know the offer is still there.

Bob,

Note I didn't say you WOULD catch fish, or that you'd have the 'spotlight' to yourself! It took us four nights to figure out what they'd eat and we rarely had the popular place to ourselves. That said, I have no problem sharing such info with fellow CA members. I'll let Capt Rick know he qualifies for MR honors.

Dan,
You missed my point. I have (along with a couple of other unnamed members) been known to insert a standard comment on posts such as yours.

It's not that  I (we) don't believe you, we just love our pics.
Glad you had a great time. :thumleft:

CB, it does take some time for members to understand your...ways.  Myself?  Kinda like them, and kinda get a kick when others are thrown for a loss, so to speak...

No offense Dan, that's just CB... :thumright:

Oh. And no pix taken. At least of the night catches. There is this lady I saw offering her kid as bait to the manatees, however...but the smallest I can shrink the vertical format photo is still too large (318wx480h) to download here...

Use our gallery - you can upload any size pic to our gallery, the gallery will resize it down automatically.  Then find the pic select it and once open look to the right and find the IMG code.  Highlight that, copy, open your topic and paste - done. If you're using tabbed browsers (isn't everyone?) then you can open two copies of our site opening your topic in one and the photo gallery in another - then it's easy to copy & paste.
