50 when I got up at 7 (beats 38 yesterday morn!), if we didn't have the cloud cover, we'd probably be seeing 75 today...

Brilliant sun, 28 and no wind... Just a vest works outside today, anything more and you sweat to much. In the sun with no snow cover, the surface of the ground thaws to about 1/2 inch to make mud, underneith it is frozen down to about 4" now.  The snow machine is still in the barn:(...

Happy solstice a few days past, the sun is coming back!!!!!

Remember those days Dave.  Right around 30, dry, no wind, shoveling snow you really started to sweat...

Honest guys, no chit!  Chicago born and raised.  Think I left my northern blood in a snow bank up there...

When we were stationed in P'cola we swore we were never moving north of I-10 again.. Then life changed and we moved home... It all ends well!

Life is where it takes you Dave...

I miss the city, I miss the lakefront (the most amazing setting for any city in the world, IMO!), I miss the museums, I miss the food (Vienna Red Hots, thin crust Chicago pizza, Italian beef sandwiches...), I miss the people...but I don't miss the winters!!!

Happy here in sunny FL!!!

I dont think people realize how cold florida gets. That humid air feels alot colder than the drier air out west and such. 30 in colorado feels like a 50 to me here. But i am proud to say i can wear sandals year round, even if theres socks between em!

My last winter in P'cola was in 95.. There was an inch of ice on Bayou Chico at the head by Patti's shipyard the day after Christmas.. It was #¥£$&!!! cold working on the boat..

I don't really think there has been a bad night for a fire that I can remember..  It just depends on where, in the fire pit by the lake, or in the wood stove, with good company and the right groceries,IT's ALL GOOD

I remember standing at the school bus stop here in Sarasota and the bank sign across the street showed 19 degrees.  That is brrrr anywhere, at least the places I've been.
