Possible Aquasport newbie?

I am currently looking at a 1987 222 Sandpiper for sale in my area and would like some info on the boat. I had a V20 Wellcraft for years and sold it 3 years ago, regretting it ever since. My questions would be the ride in a chop (I fish the Chesapeake Bay) and any problem spots to look for. It has a 175 Merc but I would probably repower it. Thanks.

Welcome Barry!
The Sandpiper will run nicely in a chop. It is a deep-vee, same hull as the 222 CCP.
In comparison to your old V 20, similar ride, but more glass in the water. You will be pleased.
