AS and military ?

Did AS ever build any riverine type boats for combat use, in the vietnam war era ?
Aquasport 200 CC Pro, 200 Merc,15hp Honda,Hydrostream Varmint Bassboat,2.4 Merc Bridgeport, Shadow VT200, tunnel hull,merc., 225 Promax.

Not aware of VN era, but late 80's,early 90's timeframe, AS had a contract to build boats for the Navy.They were running a midnite shift at the plant ,and IIRC, it was a 19 or 20 hull.One of the supervisors was showing me the boats,they were happy to get the contract, but I did'nt get a chance to look long as we were busy and I did'nt get a chance to stop back by and check it out.

They had alot of people working ,and they had armed contract security at the gate and inside.

There's an 70s vintage Aquasport ad somewhere (I'll see if I can find it) that touts Aquasports being used by the Navy.
