Coast Guard Vessel Inspections
« on: November 18, 2012, 08:38:36 AM »
HI All.... Did you know you can call your Coast Guard Auxiliary and get a free boat inspection?
We check for all safety equipment, paperwork, etc.
Our mission is to get everyone home alive....and to make sure you're up to speed on new regulations, state and federal.     You'll get a sticker to put on your boat and the knowledge that everything has been checked.    AND  it's FREE...
No, we don't write tickets.  If you don't pass we recommend what to do,  and it's totally voluntary.

Look up Coast Guard Auxiliary on the net, and if you're on Cape Cod, look up
Flotilla 11-1 Chatham MA.   We come to you.....
    Ken

I have them come out and do 3 boats at one time. The guy here is retired from the Coast Guard and very nice to talk with about anything related to boating. Having the sticker does help if you are stopped by the Coast Guard. Not so much with NMFS.

I’ve known that for a number of years. And did this post bring up some lost memories. My neighbor use to bug the hell out of me every year, till I let him inspect my boats. Then the sob would fail it  , just to piss me off. Then come back a week later and give me my sticker.
