Water Pump Maintenance, is this the same?

I have a Yamaha 2001 200HP HPDI

are these instructions the same for my motor ??

Well, it looks like the same procedure I used on my 91 200 Yam so....

Here's a link to our favorite site that has the same instructions as you show (but I can't see the photos)

None the less, reading through the first page of the thread seems to indicate that this procedure will work on later model Yamaha big motors.

I'd say yes but when you start to disassemble, it should become fairly obvious if this is correct.

I just did a 2003 225hp last month.
That procedure seems fine. The nice thing is no shift rod like on my Johnson.
I didn't pull the prop.
One thing to note is that the engine would not pump water on muffs. Would not piss.
When I tanked it all was good.
I actuality call Yamaha tech support about this and they it wasn't unusual to not pump on muffs.
