I was just out for some fuel and a little ride, and the same thing happened to me.  I always check the reservoir before leaving the dock.  I had about 25psi on the tank.  Maybe a little high for an old system.  When I noticed the leak.  I lined up the rudders, opened the helm and bled off the pressure to save the oil.  I am going to order the parts and rebuild it myself.  Hopefully it will hold, otherwise there is a replacement model HH5273.

Found this link with some step by step with pictures.
It is the h50. So, I ordered the parts and they are being installed.
I think replacing the whole helm hyd unit would be wise. I'll look over the links.
