New guy with new to me 23 Tournament Cat
« on: August 13, 2012, 08:01:53 PM »
So I am new here, been on THT and Florida Sportsman forums forever. I just bought a 2001 230 Tournament Cat with twin yamaha 115 fourstrokes. I fished the boat several times before purchasing it and am very pleased so far. The boat needs some attention as it was one of several the owner had and got little use the last year. I am hoping someone here has knowledge of or owns one, there is very, very little info on the boat online due to its very small production. I am having a tough time finding the fish-box macerator pump and it seems to sit low in the stern possibility due to the 4strokes so I'm thinking of moving the batteries forward. I look forward to interaction and hopefully some info.

I will get it tomorrow, don't have it here. You may have built it? Where is the flipping macerator pump?

There wasn't one...despite what the switch panel said...at least that I can remember, I built a bunch.  Look inside the starboard side access door towards the livewell.  But I bet you don't find one...

Well that makes me feel a little better for not finding it, the two fishboxes drain lines come back to the starboard bilge are and there is a valve there but they aren't draining at all. I guess I need to check for obstructions and make sure the valve is opened correctly. If there is no pump where the boxes designed to drain into the bilge? Did you rig many 4strokes?

Eric, welcome.

Seabob was in production management at Genmar.

He now owns a custom rigging house, of which our Florida membership is thankful and well pleased.
