222 CCP newbie rebiuld deck hull joint questions
« on: August 10, 2019, 04:25:51 PM »
Hello, I was just given an 86 222 CCP. I am new to all of this but have been researching the rebuilds for a while now. I have a problem area on the deck hull joint and was looking for advice on the best way to handle it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As you can see it looks like someone tried to fix a damaged area with some kind of filler.

That's weird, never seen that - not a fiber board like they use on roofs, but not a piece of solid wood either. I think the entire length is the same - maybe a Friday boat ? Mine was a solid wood, maybe oak?

Instead of attaching pics, which are "size" limited, try uploading them to your free gallery.
If you want to post a pic when you talk about your boat, which you should, follow the instructions here http://classicaquasport.com/smf/index.php?topic=12725.0  - don't attach them, this is better for viewing.
Spend a few minutes to absorb the instructions. It's really easy.
