What size waste water holding tank?

What size waste water holding tank will fit in an 86 Aquasport 290 TM? Thanks.

Can't find it listed in the documentation stuff  (shows tank but not size) but it does list a 40 gal. fresh water tank so I'd imagine the black water tank would be about the same, maybe 10/15 gals. less.

A 25 gallon holding tank is pretty big for that size boat.  Water for a marine toilet is often raw water, not fresh water, so you don't use up the good water in the toilet where you just make it bad.  

I would think 12-18 gallons would be adequate, assuming a low-volume toilet (around 1 pint of water per flush typical - more if needed).

Thanks. I plan to use a 6 pack charter fishing boat so I was hoping for something larger than 12 gallons. Thanks

Thanks for all the links. I looked at all them.  I had it measured for a 12 gallon tank but I was hoping for a bigger tank. Thanks again.
