deck hatch here?
« on: July 01, 2012, 02:40:52 PM »
Can I put a deck hatch in between the center console seat and the fish box on a 2003 200 Osprey CC? Has anyone done this before?  Does anyone know what is under the deck in that location? Attached a photo. I would have to take up the deck tiles of course...they were put in for a four legged first mate who has since passed on.   I have been reaching into every inspection plate I can with a camera but can't seam to reach that spot.
Thanks
Bob

Yes you can. The area between the stringers up there is open space. The gas tank coffin will end somewhere near the front of the console.

As an exploratory move, cut a circular 5 inch hole dead center in that area, but a little forward. Then see what you have in terms of room between the stringers. You should most likely be able to get at minimum a 20 X 14 inch hatch in there.

For reference, check the 19-6 rebuilds in the rebuild section.

Best :salut:
