New Tackle bag
« on: June 19, 2012, 12:51:19 AM »
Went to Bass pro in Orlando last week looking for a new tackle box/bag.I found this one that fit the bill,

they have a great selection of choices and I was able to look in all of them and compare features, since we are all looking for better ways to store stuff on the boat,I thought you all might be interested, this bag is about twice the size of a normal bag,I was able to fit the contents of 3 tackle bags into 1 with room to spare and its more organized and easier to find....

Rick,
Since getting the 225 most of my fishing is offshore with some occasional inhore wading, I do have 1 of the tackle trays filled with my inshore stuff as well as an assortment of smaller inshore hooks. The bag could easily accomodate both.
Here is a video showing how to rig ballyhoo using "pin rigs"it is the fastest and easiest way to rig baits for trolling. You can buy these pre made or do as I do and make them yourself using a crimper and some rigging wire for the pin.Instead of the rubber band I use a bait spring which simply "screws " down around the pin.The whole rig is completely reuseable and can be re-rigged very quickly,

a pic of one of my homemade rigs...just wind the spring on to the pin and screw down tight
no more fooling with copper wire and they track great in the water..
