My A-Sport Alive Again!!!!!
« on: August 15, 2014, 11:15:05 PM »
 Hi all, John here...
I currently have a 22ft AquaSport that I purchased from CL about 3 yrs ago it came from R.I.
I did have one before but sadly it met its demise at the hands of a Storm.
From then on I was determined to get another.
I bought the second (Current A.S.)the same day I sold my 18ft 1975 Starcraft SS, I had spent a whole year gutting the Starcraft down to a shell put a new transom in hand ground/scrapped the hull inside and out primed it repainted it new below the deck poly tank and a complete rebuild of the motor 1973 Evinrude 70hp.(that boat was fast I think partially due to me shaving the head.
All in all I got to use the starcraft for 2 weeks before I got an offer I couldn't refuse grabbed my cash and went to R.I. to get another AquaSport.
The previous owner had spent a lot of $$$ to bring this boat back and after all that his neighbors tree fell and smashed the t-top. He gave up after that.
I bought it for $3,500.00 on the trailer with no motor or electronics. Quite a deal I think.
I am now working like a horse today to get all the electronics in again.
Then tune the motor after replacing seals in lower unit and waterpump housing and leave hopefully to Lake Winni,NH
If anyone has some time please come by 1:00pm Sat/08/16/2014) Beer is on me.
*UPDATE Motor is running ratty seems to be a fuel/air leak at primer bulb*
Finished mounting and wiring Radar and rest of boat just now heading back in the driveway to finish the nav lights...
 :salut:
Gonna add some pics/PB links.

Thanks again Rickk for allowing me in.

rock the flywheel, if it clunks even slightly replace the top bearing. It wears much faster than the readt of the bearing because of the flywheel itself.
