I work for a True Value Hardware , I repair pellet stove and gas fire places, I do not work in the store. It always amazes me how our small store has the piece of hardware you need and the big box stores do not. We may be a little more expensive but the customer service you get is worth every penny. We even have a small fishing equipment section. Most of the stores revinue comes from the sale of hearth stoves and fireplaces. Pellet stoves are very popular here in Maryland.

I'm alway willing to pay alittle more to support the local guy, plus when i walk into ace there is always someone to help, the box stores not so much.

Not that this is a plug but HD will do 10% off for Military, just show your ID.
I know it is not a lot but here it pays the tax.
We have an Ace close by I do like the Stainless there.
Worst Marine is the last choice for me.

I drove by a few and sure enough - ACE on the sign, DG on the building still.
