Help with vin number

New to the site and in need of some help
I just pick up a older 17 foot Aquasport off ebay and would like to know the year, it was listed as a 1980 however the paper work shows it to be a 1965??
The plate on the back was missing and vin / hull number on the title is 11642 3395.
What do I have ??
Any help would be great.

1). It's a HIN #

2). Not real sure they made Aquas in 65.

3). You have a title with that serial # on it so....

4) Where is it registered (think State)?

5). A pic of the title would go "miles" in solving the mystery.

Ok I added pohots to my members gallery and again thanks for the help.
Starting to think the title is not even for this boat, not sure but I hope other members can help.

I think he is in Canada. The numbers you posted don't jive with any HIN I know of. They could be an assigned Canadian HIN but not sure of that procedure either. Like Capt. John said post some pics and there are a lot of people on here that would know what you actually have.

Can you locate a Hin # on the hull itself (I'm assuming you now have the boat)?
Look on the transom, back side, upper part on either side. Could be molded in or attached plate.

I'm understanding that the boat came from NJ correct?
Dietrich is the guy you bought it from?
That's his driver license or credit card # on bottom right of title (gotta love NJ)?

Later than '73 boat - 1980 seems about right from the rub rail and liner.

Thanks for the help and yes I"am in Canada and picked the boat up in NJ.
Redoing the transom right now with seacast or another pourable repair and this site has been a great help.
