Got a new toy - Transom Wedge

I found a deal on transom wedges on eBay. I couldn't pass them up. They should be here in a week. Has anyone ever used them? I am trying to get more range out of my trim. At wide open I have to tuck the engine down all the way to prevent porpoising. I know trim tabs would be the way to go. But they cost more than I want to spend currently. And I already have enough stuff to mess with at the helm. I will report how they do when they come in.

Used the wedges on a whaler I had years ago, they seem to give you more up trim

My son put the wedges on his Mitzi 17. They did help.

With more negative trim, they'll definitely bring the bow down, get rid of that porpoising. You really don't lose anything, especially on a trailer boat...

I tried out the wedges last week. They seemed to help. I had a 10+ mph wind from the south west. Perfect to choppy waves to test out the new trim positions. In a head wind I could tuck the nose down and chop the waves like it was nothing. I couldn't do that before. At WOT my trim is still touchy. The boat likes to porpoise at full speed if any trim is used
Its not an issue for me. I am not in a hurry when on the boat.
