Getting Closer to getting back on the water!
« on: April 03, 2012, 11:04:22 PM »
I finally got the primer on the boat yesterday.  I figured since I had to repair the crack in the transom that required removing the Polling Platform adn Engine, I may as well paint the boat too.  I painted the engine while we had it off too.  Had to replace the steering arm in my Evinrude, so that made it easy to paint since it was completly disasembled.  Photos of the engine to follow.

I am going to paint the boat Marlin blue.  Started block sanding the hull today.  I am going to pain the bottom with Petit Vivid White since I ocasioinally leave the boat in the water for a few weeks at a time.

Thanks guys, It took me a long time to pick the color.  Going to paint the bottom with Pettit Vivid White bottom paint since the boat sits in the water sometimes.  Going to start that next week.  I have to sand out all the pit blisters and do some filling to get it close to smooth.  Unfortunetly, Aquasport did not do the best job in lamination when they built my boat and its been left in the water a few times and has a bottom full of pit blisters to sand and fill. Here is a better pic from today without the plastic on the boat, but I must have had a smudge on the camera, that blem on the side is actually not there.
