Tervis Cups and the need for cup holders....
« on: April 16, 2012, 02:58:43 PM »
I love Tervis cups.  Everything about them is right....except for the width.  My cup holders on either side of the CC are too small so my Tervis do not fit.

Does anyone know of a company who makes some that fit?

I was thinking the same - don't know for sure until I get her back from Bob.  Would prefer to have a clean new look rather than just cutting it up...if you know what I mean.

Wess if you tellme the diameter of the hole you need and a better picture of what you have I could fabricate what you need for the cost of the starboard and shipping.

Done - I should get the boat back from Seabob4 shortly.  When I do, I'll get you some measurements and pics.

I've contact Tervis, they said they get this all the time, but are more focused on making the cups than anything else....OPPORTUNITY?

OK  when you take the measurements give me the actual and I will allow some wiggle room do the cups have handles.

I use some of the adjustable cup holders - I don't know about the fixed type, but look at the fold-down type and you will get the idea:

For what it's worth, that's all the wife drinks from, I have the fold out adjustable ones, got them from TMC.  They do hold the tervis tumbles ok, I wouldn't say perfect, but they do ok.

Check with boathelp.com  They make BEEFY starboard cup holders and such.  They can also custom make anything you need.

I'm a tight ass. Checking your pics again, I'd cut a 2 inch slice from the middle, then put a pretty springy taper on each side with an orbital sander, 180 grit.

You can then easily dress it down..its starboard. Wet sand with 400 for the custom touch.

When I was a kid....I got whipped for not cleaning my plate. And that's the truth

Dad's gone, but still weird about using what we have.

I love Tervis cups. I have 3. Keep them close to me.

I too would make the starboard ones work. If you did it right, they'd probably work as good or better than anything you could buy.
