Several of the waves, I was saying to my self..."C'mon, board, faster...faster..."

Couple of the earlier waves, looked like the sheer weight of the water in the crest was actually "crushing" the wave, collapsing the pipeline...

Really cool stuff, just goes to show you who's boss, and it ain't no man...

a friend of mine whos in the CG, he's been all around the world, builds his own boards for all the different locals, he surfed pipe in hawaii a few years back, came back with a broken shoulder and i quote:
"man i F'd myself up... but the ride was f'ing worth it man! best waves ive surfed my whole life!"

makes me want to wipe the dust off my boards and catch the next plane to hawaii

the wind from those waves when they sneeze is epic!

ive always liked this video... its a couple years old but man oh man it looks fun!

If you noticed the lip of the wave is nearly 10' thick, bigger than most swells we get in the gulf

We just got a new TV which has the capability of doing 3D. On our cable system there is On Demand, which has a free 3D section. One of the free 3D movies is called The Ultimate Wave. It was filmed all around Tahiti and Teahupoo with Kelly Slater and friends surfing this place. You should see these waves in 3D! WOW! Absolutely beautiful place especially the helicopter shots in 3D looking down onto the reef. I just got it all hooked up last night and have already watched it twice. Really, really cool!
