I have a question with the live well on my boat.  Where does the water get pumped into the live well from?  It has one hose on the pump under the console but it doesn't tie into anything.  Also there is a hole on the front side of the boat under the gas fill cap(not the overflow) what does this hole do?

The drain on the starboard side just above the waterline is the drain for the center fish box in the front deck.  That is not for the baitwell.  Do you have the baitwell in the front seat of the console?  Mine did not have any plumbing from teh factory.  It had a recirculating pump.  I had to add a pump, drain & the hoses to make it a recirculating baitwell.  My boat is a 1988 170 Osprey, but I am not sure what the difference between teh Striper/Osprey is.  Good Luck.

How did you fill up the live well/bait well before?

Randall, you are in luck, and welcome!

There are a bunch of posts lately regarding livewells. Pickups/plumbing/rigging, etc.

Go to "search topic".

Regardless of the model, the info is applicable...the livewell is always fed from the hull bottom....at the stern.

I had to use a 5 gallon bucket to put water into the livewell previously.  then it would drain onto the deck when I pulled the plug.  I did not like that either since if the boat was in teh water, it just filled up the deck.
