Peel and Stick Carbon Fiber
« on: April 01, 2012, 03:06:36 PM »
Has anyone ever used peel and stick carbon fiber vinyl to cover an old gauge or switch panel? If so, how does it look and has it lasted any amount of time.

Yes I did my Panel on boat Carbon Fiber stick on,    and it looked awesome for a few months. then it bubbled up and it looks like crap, dont do it. Paint it or something else. that stuff doesnt go well with saltwater and sun light.

I have seen the vinyl graphics film that looks like carbon fiber.  If it is a high end 3M stuff and it's put on right then it should hold up for a while.  This stuff you see at the auto parts stores is junk and won't last.
