Finster, If you don't mind, how much did they cost?

The decals on my boat are badly scraped. I was thinking about taking pictures of them and getting them reproduced at a sign/lettering shop.

The official ones from Aquasport would be far better if they are available.

I am also from S. Jersey, which dealer did you go to?

Hi Defiant, I can't remember the dealer, but it was further south than me, and I'm in little egg.
I called them, paid over the phone and they shipped them to me directly. I believe they where around 30 bucks. And there are 2 sizes. My 200 Osprey took the larger size with the silver lettering.

Thanks for the info. I still have a lot of work to do before decal time, but at that price I'll probably order some!

LE is my home inlet. My boat slip is at Motts Creek between Chestnut Neck and Oyster Creek in Great Bay It's great to see another Aquasport fan from the home port area!

I believe they where around 30 bucks.

I didn't think you could buy anything for a boat and get it for around $30!!
I tried to get new decals for my motor and they wanted $150.  I told them they had me confused with somebody....  I taped off what I had and repainted.
I just ordered a new internal wiring harness for my Evinrude and for about $10 worth of wire it was $160!! Still haven't gotten it yet.

Finster, I'll be looking for you on Great Bay. I can't wait to get my transom rebuilt and get back out on the water.

The stripers are running strong now and with May just around the corner the Blue Fish Blitzes behind the old 20 marker will soon be in full swing! Then flounder, wreck fishing, shark trips............ I can't wait!!!!!

Try Marine Conn. Liquidators or a local sign shop

I talked to Marine Connection Liquidators in Ft. Pierce, FL today and they have the classic logo decals in stock (only in teal color though).  They also have the new style "puffy decals" with the billfish on them.  Give them a call at (772) 465-6460.  Actually, they have a TON of classic Aquasport stuff in stock.  Here's a pic of some of the stuff they have for Mako's:

You can see more about them here:http://www.classicmako.com/marineconnect/marineconnection1.htm

Sad thing about them is they have so much stuff from buying overstocks and excess production from the manufacturers, they really don't know what they've got.  You have to call and get them to go look for you.

Also, worst case scenario, you could have your decals made at a local sign/banner shop.  They can cut UV resistant stickers for anything as long as you have the logo in an EPS format (scaleable without losing quality).  I'm about to do this in order to make black decals for my 22' and dark blue decals for my 20'.  If you want, let me know and I can e-mail you the EPS file when I'm done.
