1972 22-2 flatback hull

Just had a friend take a look at a 1972 22-2 flatback listed on CL... It was a bit disappointing. From what my buddy was able to tell, the hull seemed pretty solid, but the 90hp Johnson is scary... if the engine doesn't check out, but the hull does, anyone have an idea what just the hull is worth? I've done some poking around to try to get some comps for prices, but not much out there... I want to be prepared to make a different offer if the engine is toast... thanks!

Hold on, Im getting confused! You have a lot of questions (which is fine) but they are all over the place on the board and hard to keep track of.  Heres a little tip! Start 1 post in the Aquasport Discussion area with a "definitive subject" and keep posting question in the same post.  that way we can all follow it easily.

Now I do have a few question for you.  (feel free to move them if you start a new thread)
1. So now the 22-2 ended up being a Flatback?
2. Did you buy the 19-1?
3. Do you have any pics to share of both or either boat?

You're right... I am all over the place with this.  I tried to post the questions in the forum that seemed best, but I can see how that's confusing.  I'll start a new thread & try to summarize where I'm at with this thing.  As for photos, I registered on photobucket, but haven't been able to figure it out yet...
