I have a bunch of pics of ELP at the Omni in ATL. We sat on the 5th row and I had a 70-135 zoom.  :afro:  :afro:

Maybe even better, maybe......     make sure you play this video in fullscreen!

You know I've got a lot of 33s still. I found a free software that I can use to download from vinyl to my laptop, then put it on my ipod. It's called Audacity. Have you heard of it? I've done a couple of albums so far, Dark side of the moon, Tommy, Rubber Soul.

I'm embarrassed to say how much digital content I've wasted time on but still it's like any other addiction :drunken:
My younger son still buys vinyl (used of course) and listens regularly to my old collection. We still have about 100 albums that are playable and he adds a couple every few months.
His Mac is loaded up and so is his iPod.
I don't even want to know how much he has on his external hard drive. :o

It's good to be young, so they tell me.

PS... I still burn a CD on occasion because the wife's car and my truck are not digital friendly. :(

We pay between $3 and $8 bucks depending on location. Goodwill records are often $3 but the selection and condition is often poor. There are still a couple of shops that have vinyl in boxes in back and some are surprisingly in good condition for their age.

Rather than buying over the net, this is much cheaper and like boats, requires a bit more searching combined with realistic expectations.

I have a BUNCH of them I'll probably never use again. They are in the storage shed. I'll look them over next time I'm by there and PM you.

I appreciate that ol' timer but I'm not sure we're looking for any Kay Kyser Box Sets.

Just for information, if anyone has vinyl and a turntable and computer you can transfer the vinyl to digital and not have to pay for itunes or amazon. Even if the album is scratched you can edit out most of the scratches by editing the waveform where the scratch is. I have been using Audacity which is a free software that really works. I bought a small preamp that uses a 9 volt battery to power it because the signal needs to be amplified. I got this from Radio Shack for 10 bucks. Once on my laptop I download the songs to itunes and then onto my ipod or make a CD for friends that don't have a MP3 player.
