Kudos, Aaron!  I know your marina all to well...

For those who don't know, when I was with Proline (production engineer    ), we held our annual dealer meeting at the Vinoy on the waterfront, downtown St. Pete.  Mid week, usually late Tues, when all the dealer "festivities" were concluded, we got kicked out of our berths by Cruisers Yacht and settled in at the transient docks at Aaron's place of work, The Harbourage.  Third year they actually gave us individual slips out by the breakwater!

Great place, the dockmaster was super, and I'm sure I saw Aaron a time or two, unbeknownst to me.  I'm also sure you guys have heard us talk about Gramps, the big snook that cruises the transient docks...

Congrats, Aaron!!

Aaron....good deal :thumright:

Read the excellent article. It was authored by a CAS member...all the better

Of course, the next question...Gary penned it, but by what name is he known here.... thanks.

Gary, darn fine job. Caught the spirit of times past, yet inspired times to come.

Two Classic Aquasport members were mentioned. Aaron, and Steve Betz.

Good on you boys! Congratulations from the rest of us :salut:

im not sure if gary is a member on here, he did tell me one time he does lurk around various boat/fishing forums to gather info and such... gary was blown away at the mild transformation when i had the hull painted and bob fix my wiring, just a couple simple things that made it look like a completely different boat.

It's all good. Gary did a great job on the article, and whether or not he's a member here, he has caught our spirit.

Congrats to you Aaron...a good attitude and good work is justly rewarded :thumright:

Congrats Aaron!  :thumright:  You got your 15 minutes of fame.

Clearly there are pros and cons to high and dry, but to say that the cost of the high and dry is justified in the fuel savings from not having to trailer your boat is laughable.  Even if your tow vehicle gets 10 miles to the gallon that is 3 to 4 times higher than any outboard boat.  If the Kingfish bite is going off on the Clearwater hard bottom, it would cost me three to four times more in fuel to run my boat from the Harborage high and dry than it would for me to trailer my boat from south Tampa to the seminole boat ramp in Clearwater.
