Not sure what, if anything, it's designed intention is - maybe just to do it?  And they said the later models weigh 100 lbs

I shot a .458 Weatherby once and shot a palm tree in half! I can't even imagine what a .950 must be like.

I learned my lesson back about 1972.  A buddy had a British .600 Nitro Express elephant gun.  I love big guns and big booms but one shot was all I needed.

This is what I load into my bear repeller/shoulder cannon when I'm fishing remote areas in Alaska - you don't want to shoot them a lot, but they will shoot through a Cape Buffalo and stop a Kodiak in its tracks.  540 grain, .458 caliber at 1550 fps - do the math for stopping power!

Back when I still had an active FFL license, I came across a derringer that shot the 45-70 Govt. aka the Trapdoor Springfield round.
Don't remember the model but it was advertised for bear protection. I would imagine it would tingle your digits during discharge.

That second video is a riot!  Shows a 240 grain 45-70 - his hand may never the the same...  You wouldn't shoot a Garrett in that thing!  Note the warning on the Garrett ammo - only Marlins after 1998.  Others can't handle this round.
