19.6 scupper height

hey everyone , im new to the site as i have just purchased a 1973 19.6 center console aquasport . it is all origional including floors and transom wich are still solid, the boat is outfitted with a 2004 yamaha f115 four stroke, hydraulic jack plate and steering .
  the one thing i noticed the most was that the boat sits right at the scupper line .
with any additional weight or the livewell full water level reaches the floorline in the boat .
i am sure someone is familiar with this and input or suggestions on how to address this are greatly appreciated thanks !

Welcome aboard! :salut:

This is a problem with all of our older Aquasports. The way to correct the problem is to eliminate the through at the back of the boat and raise the floor. Since you have a solid floor I would recommend scuppers that will cover your self bailing drains. Several here have used the scuppers that have a ball in them. I'm certain others will chime in on the subject. You can also use the search function, search scuppers.

Welcome aboard!  Yup common problem.  Add a heavy four stroke, live well and a couple of Bubbas and it gets worse.  The quickest fix for you would be what Blue Agave suggested.  Ball type scuppers.  I had the same problem on my boat and they solved it.  My decks are nice and dry.  I forget the brand but I picked up the type that are two piece.  That way you can take them apart for easy cleaning.  If you do a search for my name and ball scuppers you can find some pics of mine.

common  mine are under water if i walk to the back of the boat I have a 150 johnson 2 stroke. ball scuppers and a set of pull plugs when I put her in at the ramp.
