Cool video but they skipped right over the hard part, the insert, i would like to see a video on a boat like mine.

Another good tip, instead of the water put the rub rail in the your oven on the warm setting for 10-15 minutes it works.

I am not going to comment...and Scott D, a 200 degree oven works REAL nice...

We used to heat ours with a propane torch used for shrink wrapping boats...then sprayed the crap out of it with WD-40 or the like.  With this little tool...




The insert in your boat was in in 30 seconds...yes, 30 seconds...

BTW, Scott D, the insert on your boat was/is 11 arm spans long...about 66'...

60' would've done it, but that's what I was taught, and that's what worked...the 245/250, 13 arm spans...

Neat stuff Bob, the last time around i did mine with a rope insert, seemed harder to get in then the plastic but not bad, i have cans of cheap H Depot silicone spray for that kind of stuff.

Rope is cool, I love the look!  I use a rubber mallet (a hefty one) and tap it in as I walk around the boat.  The heft of the mallet does the work...
