I like my DC. Good boat for combo activities (fish, ski, and cruise). I have a 200 Evi FICHT on mine, plenty of power. Only issues with boat is pump placement. All pumps difficult to access, especially bilge. Valve handle for fish boxes also in terrible hard to reach location. I plan on addressing these issues with re-design but haven't decided on a game plan yet. Any ideas are appreciated.

I take my boat out in St Joe Bay and GoM. I avoid the GoM when forecast waves greater than 3ft.

Most of my issues have been with my trailer and motor. My bimini (frame and cloth) is also getting worn. Anyone know where I can get a replacement. The one on the boat is Sunbrella.

I have the 2004 model with a 200 Yamaha 2 stroke. The model changed a bit with the years 2003 through 2005. Then it became the Wellcraft 220 Sportsman 2006 through 2009.

According to owners manual:
The length overall with pulpit: 22' 4"
Centerline hull: 21' 8"

I've only been able to go on 4 or 5 one hour test runs so far in the river and ocean around here, but it seems to run very good. It ran quite dry in some windy chop out in the ocean one day and that was with the windshield open and no bimini, so I was pleased with that. Handling was smooth with the hydraulic steering. According to the speedo I ran 43 wot with about 50 gal of gas and 2 people on a calm day which I didn't think was bad at all as it is a pretty heavy boat.

With this model 3 of the pumps and Y valve are accessable under the aft floor hatch; fresh water, macerator and live well/raw washdown pumps. The bilge pump is another story, very difficult, but not impossible to get at through the pie plate in front of the engine. The layout is great for everything from fishing and tubing, to family cruises to the Boston Harbor islands or picnics up the North River. (plenty of seating and porta potty in port console). I used to own a 19' Wellcraft bowrider, so this is a similar design but larger and has a lot more storage and amenities. I used to take the 19' 20-30 miles out fishing, so I have no qualms taking the Aquasport out there for a day of fishing, especially with 100 gals of gas. I'm really looking forward to getting full use come next spring/summer and fall. I think it's a good choice.

This is a great boat- as for pump locations, they're terrible.  I've already replaced one pump, it was extremely diffcult to get to and work on.

As for going offshore- it handles rough water exceptionally well. I'll be keeping my boat in Port Neches, TX.  Good luck.
