Replacement parts
« on: December 10, 2011, 07:02:27 PM »
I just bought a 2003 215 Explorer. I would like to replace the side coaming pads to look original. Any ideas where replacements may be available?

Pete or Marc,
MCL, do they have any upholstery?  gatord, you may have to go to a local seamstress/canvas shop...

You won't find original, i dug though MCL for 2 hours just looking for those last year, non to be had, ended up getting some that were kind of close.

Scott is correct, they have tons of coaming pads from all different makes and models, I got a nice set (brand new) off white, with a gold accent panel, it has the rubber bead that slides into the piece already mounted on my boat, if I remember they were pretty cheap, and very nice.

gator,
Another alternative is to pick up ones like Scott got, then have the center panel replaced with a blank white one...easy to do for a good seamstress...

Sorry to give you some good natured chit, gator!  You'll find here, we try to help...and have a little fun at others expense, as well!  All in good fun, my friend, all in good fun...

But MCL is the cat's meow when it comes to AS parts...where are you located?
