Through Hull fitting
« on: December 01, 2005, 04:09:53 PM »
I was thinking about adding anothe baitwell to my boat, but this will demand a through hull fitting with a seacock. I will have to place the through hull around the center console area if I muster enough guts to drill through the hull

Has anyone placed one there before or anywhere that can give some advice. I want to place the through hull further back to the stern, but the way my 19'6" walk around is setup makes it next to impossible without removing the deck.

I did basically the same thing.  I glassed in a piece of plyood then bored it out for the thruhull, bedded it in 5200.

My livewell is forward of the console so for the drain I put a thruhull in the side just above the waterline.

I had to cut in a deck plate to get my hands down in there to make the connection from the hose to the thruhull.
