215 DC Osprey Sport Live Baitwell/Raw Washdown Inlet
« on: October 09, 2011, 09:14:12 PM »
Where is the through the hull intake hole for the baitwell/raw washdown system on the 215 DC Osprey Sport?  Am I right to assume that when the boat is out of the water, I can put a hose in this hole, attach a funnel, pour antifreeze in, start the pump, and antifreeze the system?
Thanks, Dave

It's in the bilge, adjacent to the bilge pump, to one side of the keel.  It will have a sut-off valve attached to it...

How are you going to pump AF in?  You need to do that from the outside of the hull, so the pump can suck it in, and to do that, you need a plunger type intake like this...http://www.amazon.com/Moeller-Flushrite ... B000MTB832

Corner of 520 and A1A...

Don't try and pour the anti-freeze in from the through hull. Remove the union/wing nut from the seas strainer at the pump. Go to the local marie store, buy and extra union and attach about 6 feet of hose. Put in on the pump, and stick the other end of the hose in a bottle of anti-freeze. Turn on the pump until the anti-freeze flows into the bait well, than switch over to the wash down.
