Vanna is a local Carolina icon. Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, she was crowned "Miss Sun Fun" 1977 or thereabouts. Please check Wikipedia for the exact date. She immediately became a spokes-model for Hawaiian Tropic products.

She still maintains a large regional and national following at the age of 53. Flipping letters has proven a good career: she earns around 8 million per year.

Vanna honey...wanna text?

Getting back to the movie. It was one of those that you would want to see again. And to me, most movies are a waste of time.

Wow, have you guys ever seen a thread that has morphed as much as this one?  Except on THT?

It's called hijacking a thread.  Gran"pa" is good at it.  And captian, my boobs are larger than hers naturally, no silicone!

Now that I have pictures - hope you all don't mind bringing this topic back around  :)

RECAP:  Live well leaks and is small - it needs to be re-done.  I would like to keep the same location but enlarge it.

Here is the Live Well from the top

The well itself is underneath the top of the seat which leads me to believe a if it is properly done, the CC can sit right on top of a new one.

Here is an obstructed view of the bottom of the live well

There is easily 5" of space below the live well to the deck and space to the right and left as well.

Am I totally crazy to think this is possible?

Well after reading this entire thread again, I concur.

You are crazy.

Following along those same lines, is it safe to assume that while you are crazy, you are not stupid enough to tackle this yourself?
It may be that while the ideas presented (I would suggest the same) are doable, maybe they don't offer a custom builder the "profit for time spent" or margin they would like. The console might need to be removed to do the job correctly (I'd bet the tank was molded/attached in place before the console was mounted  ). That's probably the big drawback from doing it.

It's a DIYer if there ever was one.
If you can cut out the old tank, maybe something like this http://www.baitsystems.com/index.php?s=products (you need to measure obviously), the M3-20 style would fit in the console and could be mounted to the deck. Access would come through your existing seat lid and you wouldn't need to cut holes in a liner for fittings. The existing access hole would be covered and if needed, you'd have to remove the tank. Again, a lot of little details but if that's where you want the tank, that's what you need to do.

Where is it leaking by the way, or did I miss that?

Looking at the pics....this is gonna be a can of worms.

Where exactly is the leak?  If its a crack in the polyethelyne....perhaps a heat gun could be used?

Be worth a try to fix what's there, instead of the alternative, just MHO.

Definitely we need to address repairing the existing tank. A retrofit tank sounds good initially...but a major problem will be a satisfactory seal on the new tank lid top, and then dealing with the existing seat lid. Which means in order to dump a net-full of bait....you'll need to open two hatches/lids. And from the pics...not a lot of width there to start with. More hardware, more stuff to hang the net. Plus, even a slightly leaking top floods the console floor...salt water all over the batts, connections, fuses, etc...and if nothing else....salt water vapor.... :(

It can be done....but will be a chitload of labor. From what you've expressed initially....its a pitch-bait tank forward for tarpon/cobia. A dozen good baits should suffice right? So if we can fix the one we have...guessing that's all the forward bait we'll need. If its leaking over the top....spray-foam as Bump suggested could be a consideration.

Just thinking it all through. Lets fix this pitch-well forward....and set up a larger livewell aft, as it would also serve as a feeder livewell for all-day use. The baits will ride better/happier back there as well. For weight issues...have two different standpipes, OR drains, at different heights. A 25 gallon tank back there should be okay.

We're with you. We've all had great ideas....and we can do this. But some of us are old    and we're taking a good hard look at the time/money expenditure vs. the final result. Hope this makes sense :thumright:

After fumbling with this for a while, my pump's brackets broke, the pump fell, and now I have no pump at all!  UNBELIEVABLE!

I took the boat over to Egmont Boat Works to see what Robin and Chris had to say about my situation....The Todd Cooler is coming out and a custom livewell/leaning post is going in.

Can't tell you all how excited I am.
