Bill,
Here's a pic while sitting on the dash, ducer hooked up but not in water (obviously!), the install and operations manual is a POC, could never figure out how to get a single screen, either 50 or 200 Hz.  Therefore, unless I missed something in the Korean to English translation, you have basically half a screen to view shallow, half to view deep...

When I powered her up, before I applied power, I read the manual to make sure nothing got fried.  On one page, it said hook up the white wire to 12V+, the next page it said to hook up the red wire (the one with the in-line fuse holder in it) to 12V+.  I mean, WTF???

Thanks Bob
Someone else had warned me that the instruction manual was a pos. Thinking maybe the Furuno 620 may be the way to go.

Bill,
I think if I can figure out how to get the screen to display either or, but not both, it would be a good unit.  And should you decide to get it, make sure you get the flush mount kit (if you're going that route) that doesn't use the threaded in studs like is called out.  Si-Tex in Riverhead, NY will get you the right kit...

P66 is very common.  Used on many brands including the 3 different Garmin's that I have owned.

Si-Tex is a well known brand with a good reputation but they all have cheaper models.

I just installed a Humminbird 798HD with the side-scan sonar.  Still learning a bit about how to use it, but it's pretty cool so far.  I will post some screen shots when I get a chance - it has a "record" function that allows you to record what you are seeing for later viewing on a computer or big-screen TV.

SiTex customer service and support are awesome, all the new SiTex stuff is certainly up there with the others....Hell I still have an old CVS-106 200hz laying around that will fire right up and still perform well.

Well I decided to go with the Si-Tex SVS650.
Bob your right manual is a poc. Called tech support on how to display single screen after I messed with it for 1/2 hour. My first mistake was I read the manual. Got to say Sitex has good tech support, I called them, wasn't put on hold, all their techs were on another line, they took my # and said someone would get back to me with in 5 minutes. I got return call in 3 minutes. Tech explained how to get just the single screen, very simple. I told them what I thought of the manual, guess they received more complaints about it and said they are now in process of  coming out with a new manual.
Had a chance to go out fishing last weekend and play around with the unit a little bit, found it to be very user friendly, trick is don't read the manual.
Thanks to everyone.

Bill,
I'm actually in the process of terminating the power leads (transducer's plugged in).  What's the "trick" to getting a single screen, either 50 or 200?

Bob,
I'm not sitting in front of the unit right now but if I remember right press the mode botton on the right side. A screen will appear for all the different screen setting 200/50, 200, 50 ect. Scroll down or up with arrow buttons until the screen display you want is highlighted, now here's the tricky part, the bottom @ the r lower of unit above the power button there's a button  thats got stc/sel and ent around it, press that. I read that dang manual I don't know how many times about screen display and couldn't fugure it out, manual almost like it's written in a foreign language.

I guess Korean doesn't translate well...

Thanks for the help.  BTW, the template they supply with the unit is a POC as well.  I cut the hole for the Standard Horizon CP390 when I was cutting the Sitex.  5 minutes for the S-H, fit like a glove.  The Sitex?  About 1/2 hour, trimming here, trimming there...here's how it came out, with a Fusion Stereo thrown in the mix...
